Jesus led the Lord’s Supper in person. Praying Himself, He lifted the bread, broke it, and spoke like this: “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me” (Luke 22:19). After the evening meal He took the cup and spoke likewise: “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:20). So He shared the bread and the wine with His disciples and held the Lord’s Supper.
