Luke chapter 19 records the events from Jesus meeting Zacchaeus in Jericho to His teaching daily in the temple in Jerusalem. The contents can be divided into five parts. First, verses 1–10 are the salvation that came to Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector and a rich man, climbed up a sycamore tree to see Jesus. Jesus called him by name and stayed at his house, and after receiving Jesus, Zacchaeus confessed that he would share his property with the poor and repay what he had extorted. This was not the price of salvation but the fruit of change that appeared in the person who received Jesus in faith.
