To read the Gospel of Luke is not merely to learn, as knowledge, what Jesus did and taught. It is to know through the word what God has done to seek and save lost sinners, and to believe in the heart the gospel of the water and the Spirit that Jesus Christ completed with the baptism He received from John, the Cross, and the resurrection. Volume 5 of the Gospel of Luke shows how the person who has believed in that salvation must serve Jesus as his own King, use everything he has received from the Lord for the preaching of the gospel, and live with the hope of the resurrection and the second coming.
